Aloha!

So yesterday I popped into my local Boots store. I wanted to try out L’Oreals Color Riche Collection Privee Lipsticks.

They are a limited edition collection of tailor made nude lipsticks. With shades for every skin tone & endorsed by celebrities, it is easy to find the correct colour for you.

I must admit, I am not usually a lipstick kinda girl. I always tend to opt for lip glosses because I love the shine. I always tend to have a hard time trying to find a lipstick to match my skintone. I have tried so many in the past & been unhappy with them they either end up with my Mum or in the trash.

So, when I heard about this new collection I was excited to try it. You simply match up your skin tone to the celebrity & away you go!

I chose the Julianne Moore Nude. I admit I am not as pale as Julianne but I did think this would be a lovely match for my fair skin.

Here is what the L’Oreal site says about the shade;

‘Julianne Moore: Barely Peach. Sensual and delicate to the extreme, enhances the radiance of pale complexions and endows them with elegance and sophistication.’

The colour is really lovely & not too intense for a lipstick virgin like myself.

I put a tiny amount of Carmex on my lips ( I have had really dry lips recently) then I slicked the lipstick on. I really love the shade, I feel like it looks like my natural lips but better, which is what I like.

It was really easy to apply, didn’t cake or anything & stayed on a lot longer than any of my lip glosses ever do!

Ignore my messy hair in this picture, I was in a rush to get to work.

I also love the packaging this lipstick has. Chic black & gold, it feels & looks a lot more expensive than it is.

The lipstick comes in 6 custom shades, to suit every skin tone. I think I actually may purchase the Cheryl Cole shade, this will be great for when I go on holiday & have a tan.

All in all I love the lipstick & I love how easy it was to find the correct shade for me.

If you would like to try one for yourself it costs £8.19 & is available here.

L’Oreal also have a great feature on their website which enables you to find the right shade for you. You can find it here.

What do you think of the lipstick? Have you tried one yourself or would you consider it now?
